The Green and Smart Building Network (GSBN) seeks to mobilize businesses and stakeholders in the Quebec City region working to design and construct low environmental-impact and low energy-consumption buildings and to develop and manufacture innovative architectural products and technologies. As a structured business network creating value for its members via concrete projects, the GSBN aims to develop business, improve expertise and enhance the reputations of the contributing companies. It is also seeking to transform the Quebec City region into a Canadian and international centre of excellence in the green and smart building sector.
The Green and Smart Building Network
In the Quebec City region, six sectors of excellence have been identified, including the green and smart building sector.
The Network is coordinated by Québec International, the regional economic development agency and the implementation agent for the Quebec City ACCORD program, in association with the regional directorate of Quebec's Department of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade (MDEIE) and the Quebec City Bureau (BCN). Initiated by the Government of Quebec, the ACCORD program aims to identify and implement groundbreaking projects supporting the development of key sectors in Quebec regions.
