The Seigneurie de Beaupré wind farms win an international prize for their financing

News - On January 25, at the 2011 Project Finance International (PFI) Awards in London, England, representatives of Boralex accepted a prize for the $725 million financing of the first phase of the Seigneurie de Beaupré wind farms, which closed on November 8, 2011. The financing won the Americas Renewables Deal of the Year award, standing out for its unique structure as well as for bringing in Canadian funds, atypical investors in this type of project financing.

H2O Innovation India announces the commissioning of its first major water treatment system

CO2 solutions to make presentation on carbon capture program at Phoenix EUEC Conference

Quebec City named one of the Top 7 Intelligent Communities

Press releases - Quebec City has successfully completed the second round of the prestigious international contest organized by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) and has been named one of the Top 7 Intelligent Communities. The announcement was made in Honolulu, Hawaii by Louis Zacharilla, Director of Development for ICF. Last October, Quebec City was ranked among the Smart 21 Communities for the second year in a row. H2O Innovation awarded CAN$4.7 million in contracts for industrial and municipal water treatment systems in the United States and Canada

News - H2O Innovation announces today that it was recently awarded new contracts totalling $4.7 million. These contracts will see H2O Innovation provide custom-built membrane filtration water treatment systems and equipment to industrial end-users in the United States and Canada, and, to a lesser extent, to municipal end-users. These contracts bring H2O Innovation’s equipment sales backlog to $30.6 million as of December 21, 2011.

Investissement Québec Acquires a $58.6-Million Equity Stake in Parcs éoliens de la Seigneurie de Beaupré

News - Jacques Daoust, President and CEO of Investissement Québec, is pleased to announce that Investissement Québec is providing $58.6 million in financial support for the first phase of the Seigneurie de Beaupré wind farms, which will have an installed capacity of 272 MW and represent a total investment of some $750 million.

Québec: Fujitsu invests $20 Million in an innovation center

Maheu&Maheu Announces Construction of New HQ

News - Maheu&Maheu, the largest pest management company in the province of Quebec, announced the construction of new headquarters, which also will house its storage facilities as well as the regional office of Québec /Chaudière-Appalaches. In line with its sustainable development policy, the building will be LEED Certified and located at 605 des Rocailles Street in Quebec City. This is straight in the neighborhood of the current Head Office on Bouvier Street where the company has been operating for the last 25 years.
