News - Desjardins Group takes pride in Monique F. Leroux's appointment to the position of President of the lnternational Co-operative Alliance (ICA). Founded in 1895, the ICA has its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and its mission is to support and promote the development of the cooperative movement worldwide. The election took place during the ICA's General Assembly in Antalya, Turkey. Desjardins Group's Chair of the Board, President and CEO was one of four candidates in the running. The other candidates represented Argentina, Brazil and France. Ms Leroux is the first Canadian and first North American to be appointed to this prestigious role, replacing Dame Pauline Green who had been at the helm of the ICA since 2009.

News - CO2 Solutions Inc., a leader in the field of enzyme-enabled carbon capture technology, today announced the completion of its demonstration project at Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, near Montreal, Québec. Further to the Corporation's press release dated September 2, 2015, the demonstration in Valleyfield has been completed following a total of more than 2,500 of operational hours logged by the unit since carbon dioxide capture commenced on June 19, 2015, using the Corporation's proprietary enzyme, 1T1. The demonstration unit performed in line with previously communicated claims and expectations, confirming the strong potential of the Corporation's technology for low-cost and environmentally friendly capture of CO2 from major emitters. The data and results from the project will form a critical input into the engineering and costing of CO2 capture units for commercial use.

News - Coveo, a recognized leader in intelligent search, has secured $35 million in Series D financing to fund the company's aggressive growth. The round was led by IQ Venture Capital with participation from existing investors, including Tandem Expansion Fund, BDC Capital, Propulsion Ventures SEC, Fonds de solidarité FTQ, and Coveo CEO Louis Tetu. Coveo has raised $75 million in financing to date.
News - H2O Innovation Inc. announced that it was recently awarded three new contracts in an aggregate amount of $8.9 million for the design of potable water treatment systems. These new contracts bring the sales backlog to a high level of $44.3 million as at November 5, 2015, excluding the sales backlog from its Specialty Products and Services business lines (PWT, Piedmont and H2O Innovation Maple). H2O Innovation is proud to have been selected by three different water authorities for the design, manufacture and commissioning of ultrafiltration (UF) systems to service municipal clients. Frederic Pelletier is the person in charge of getting New Horizons to MU69. An interplanetary navigator at KinetX Aerospace, he’s a master of orbital propagation: the discipline of guiding a hunk of metal through space from one rock to another. “It involves a lot of things, like Newtonian equations to understand the orbits of both MU69 and New Horizons, to determine their position at encounter time,” says Pelletier.
