Quebec International seeks foreign workers to blog about their lives in Quebec City

Press releases - At the inaugural reception for the very first “virtual” recruiting mission involving Brazil, Quebec International issued a call for candidates aimed at recruiting bloggers of foreign origin currently living and working in Quebec City. The blog, set to be launched over the next few months, will feature entertaining anecdotal material based on the authors’ experiences in Quebec. The articles will be written in the bloggers’ native languages (Spanish, Portuguese, English and French) and will be geared towards individuals in their countries of origin considering a move to Quebec.

Quebec International launches the third edition of Devtech 50

Press releases - Quebec International announced today the launch of the third edition of Devtech 50, Quebec’s premier technology entrepreneurship competition. Inaugurated in 2009, this competition takes its inspiration from major entrepreneurial contests such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s MIT100K and the University of Waterloo’s LaunchPad 50K. The aim is to foster entrepreneurship in Quebec’s technology sector. Start-up firms wishing to take part are encouraged to submit an application without delay.

Mexico Days in Québec

This announcement, made by Lorenzo Ysasi Martínez, the COMCE’s Director General and Director for North America, during the business luncheon “Mexico-Québec: A North American Alliance,” held in the Premier’s honour on June 27, came on the heels of a meeting in Mexico City between the COMCE, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and Québec International.

Quebec International celebrates 10 years of economic success in the Quebec City Region

Quebec City Honoured in Three Categories in the 2013-2014 American Cities of the Future Rankings

Press releases - According to the 2013-2014 American Cities of the Future rankings compiled by UK-based fDi Magazine, which is published by the Financial Times Group, Quebec City placed in the Top 10 in three categories (Mid-Sized American Cities of the Future, Business Friendliness and Best fDi Strategy). A total of 422 cities in the Americas were evaluated by fDi Intelligence, a division of the Financial Times, and divided into five groups based on population size. Quebec City is in the mid-sized cities group, which includes urban areas with populations of more than 200,000 inhabitants and metropolitan regions with more than 750,000 inhabitants.

2013 Export Series Launch: 60 Marketing and Export Activities
