Attached documents

Quebec International’s Invest in the Quebec City Region brochure was honoured at the Marketing Canada Awards organized by the Economic Development Association of Canada (EDAC) and held in St. John’s, Newfoundland on September 24. In addition, the Washington-based International Economic Development Council (IEDC) presented Quebec International with its award of excellence today at its annual conference in Philadelphia, which attracted more than 1,300 participants from 17 countries.

Released in April 2013, the brochure seeks to promote the Quebec City region’s main competitive advantages to relayers and foreign investors. It was produced in collaboration with Deloitte, which conducted a portion of the strategic research and analysis, as well as the LG2 agency, which contributed creative talent.

At the IEDC’s Excellence in Economic Development Awards in Philadelphia, Quebec International received the silver medal in the general-interest publications category for cities with 500,000 or more inhabitants

Quebec International also obtained first place in the EDAC’s Marketing Canada Awards in the category of publications of more than four pages produced by organizations with operating budgets of more than $600,000. This is not the first time that Quebec International was honoured in this contest: it was awarded the Digital Media Website First Prize in 2011 for its new web portal.

“We are very proud to receive these national and international honours, which recognize the high-quality work of our professionals. They also provide fresh confirmation that Quebec City ranks among the world’s great metropolitan regions and has the potential to gain further national and international distinction,” said Carl Viel, President and CEO of Quebec International.

The production of the Invest in the Quebec City Region brochure was made possible with the financial support of the Government of Canada, the Government of Quebec, the City of Quebec and the Quebec City Regional Conference of Elected Officials (CRECN). The brochure is currently available in French, English, Spanish and German. A Spanish-language version will be offered in the near future.
