For the eighth consecutive year, Québec International has been named one of the Top Canadian Economic Development Groups in Canada’s Best Locations 2014, as announced in the current issue of US-based Site Selection magazine. This ranking pays tribute to the country's top 10 economic development agencies. 

 

Coveo Recognized a Leader in Gartner’s 2014 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Search

In its 2014 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Search released last week, the analyst firm Gartner has positioned Coveo, a provider of search and relevance solutions, furthest along the completeness of vision axis in its Leader’s quadrant. Gartner’s report evaluates 17 providers of enterprise search solutions, each assessed based upon both their completeness of vision and ability to execute.

 

La Capitale achieves the LEED®-NC GOLD level of certification for its head office expansion

La Capitale Insurance and Financial Services has achieved LEED® Gold certification for the expansion of its head office, located at 625 Saint-Amable St. on Quebec City's Parliament Hill. La Capitale is the first − and, currently, the only – property owner in Quebec City to have two LEED® Gold certified buildings. LEED® certification is achieved through independent review of design, construction, operation and maintenance practices, and it is recognized by the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC).

200 Canadian Angels Descend on Quebec City for Summit, Angel of Year to be Revealed

More than 200 Angels from across Canada gathered in Quebec City for the National Angel Summit in October. The National Angel Capital Organization is holding the largest gathering of Canadian Angel Investors. The three-day summit is focusing on a range of topics highlighting the theme of accelerating the Angel Asset Class. One of the goals of the Summit, organizers say, is to discuss the standardization of Angel Investing documents.
