New mobile application promotes Quebec City’s economic development

In this digitally driven era, Quebec International (QI) is pleased to announce the official launch of Quebec Intl, its brand-new mobile application. Featuring Mozzo technology developed by Piranha, a Quebec City-based firm specializing in mobility and innovation, Quebec Intl gives users touch-screen access to all of QI’s publications. The application is available on iOS and Android tablets and phones, as well as on Kindle.


Ubisoft reinforces its presence in Quebec City

Ubisoft announces its plans to invest CAD 28 million over the course of three years with the goal of creating 100 new jobs at its Quebec City studio. These investments will enable the studio to strengthen its infrastructure and recruit new talents, and take the lead on the development of AAA next-gen games. The Quebec government is supporting the studio's expansion as part of the ESSOR program, with a contribution of CAD 510,000.


Optosecurity: Finavia to deploy OptoScreener for LEDs in preparation for partial lifting of EU liquids ban

Optosecurity, a leader in liquid explosives detection (LED) and operation productivity software, announced today that it has received a significant order for its LED and Firearm Detection product, OptoScreener, from Finnish Airport Operator, Finavia.  The announcement comes on the heels of a number of new Standard 2 ECAC certifications the company was recently awarded.


LeddarTech succeeds in penetrating the Automotive Industry with Its Leddar™ Technology

LeddarTech, owner of the patented Leddar™ LED-based detection technology is pleased to announce that it has signed a cooperation, development and licensing agreement with Valeo, one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers. Opsens grants Abiomed US$6 million license for circulatory assist device

Opsens is pleased to announce it has entered into an Amended and Restated Co-Development Agreement  with Abiomed, in connection with its miniature optical pressure sensor technology for applications in circulatory assist devices, such Agreement replacing the Co-Development Agreement initially entered into in January 2010.
