H2O Innovation announces $6.5 million of new contracts in the oil & gas industry

Amongst the contracts announced today, two of them are major contracts awarded by a leading independent energy company engaged in the exploration, development and production of natural gas and oil in North America.  These two contracts will see H2O Innovation design, build and commission a potable water treatment package as well as a wastewater treatment package for a 2,300 person workers camp in Northern Alberta.


International Water Association (IWA) will meet in Québec City in 2017

The International Water Association’s Specialist Group (SG) confirms that the 12th International Conference on instrumentation, control and automation of water systems (ICA2017) will meet at the Québec City Convention Centre June 12 to 14, 2017.


H2O Innovation awarded a major CAD $10 million seawater desalination contract

H2O Innovationannounces that it has been awarded a major contract of CAD$10 million in the United Statesto design, build and supply major equipment and services for a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) system. This will be the second largest SWRO system in the United States. The contract brings Company's order backlog for water treatment projects above CAD $25 million as of February 11, 2014.

Université Laval creates the Goldcorp Research and Innovation Chair in Natural Resources and Energy Law

Université Laval is creating the first-ever chair devoted to the study of natural resources and energy law from a domestic and international perspective. University rector Denis Brière made the announcement in the presence of the Chair’s financial partners, represented by Goldcorp Inc. senior vice president, corporate affairs, Brent Bergeron, and Fasken Martineau managing partner, Québec region, Éric Bédard.

An important partnership creating jobs and consolidating Quebec's energy supply

Louis-Marie Beaulieu, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Groupe Desgagnés and Ross R. Bayus, President of Valero's Canadian Operations are pleased to announce the signing of a landmark agreement. The two companies have formed a joint venture, Transport Maritime Saint-Laurent inc. that has acquired two Panamax-class ships. These ships will serve to transport, among others, crude oil from Valero's Montreal East Terminal to its refinery in Lévis, on the south shore of Quebec City.


LVM and EnGlobe Agree to Combine Their Businesses

LVM, a leading Canadian geotechnical, materials and environmental engineering firm, and EnGlobe Corp., a leading integrated environmental services firm, have agreed to combine their businesses in a transaction led by ONCAP Management Partners and supported by La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. Combining these two complementary businesses will create the largest Quebec-based provider of integrated environmental and technical services, and one of the leading firms in Canada and internationally. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2014 and is subject to customary closing conditions.


CO2 Solutions Successfully Completes Second Oil Sands Project Milestones

CO2 Solutions, a leading innovator in the field of enzyme-enabled carbon capture technology, today announced that it has exceeded the second set of technical performance milestones for its oil sands project. CO2 Solutions patented process operated at the 0.5 ton/day scale and demonstrated that it can realistically lower the cost of CO2 capture to well below that associated with current carbon capture technology on the basis of cost per tonne captured.

Government of Canada lends financial support to Innoventé Inc

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière–Chutes-de-la-Chaudière and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the firm Innoventé Inc. has been granted funding for the acquisition of manufacturing equipment.


H2O Innovation announces signature of new contracts for an amount of $3.2 million

H2O Innovation announces today that it was recently awarded $3.2 million in new contracts. These new contracts bring the Company’s order backlog for water treatment projects to $13.4 million as of December 18, 2013. Amongst the contracts announced today, two of them are strategic for the Company, since the systems will be designed for wastewater reclamation applications by membrane filtration technology, an important growing segment in the water treatment industry.
