Rotobec: Grappling with success in Sainte-Justine de Bellechasse!

Rotobec: Grappling with success in Sainte-Justine de Bellechasse!

This story takes us to Sainte-Justine de Bellechasse, a small municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, nestled between the Appalachian mountains and the United States border, where a group of courageous Trappist monks settled around 1862 to found the Trappe du Saint-Esprit de Sainte-Justine. While the monastery itself—the second of the Cistercian Order to be established in North America—is no longer in existence, the site remains a tourist attraction that tells of the part these pioneers played in the colonisation of Langevin Township.
