Marie-Josée Chouinard has specific knowledge of international recruitment and labour availability issues. As part of her duties, she undertakes international recruitment missions and develops an annual program of activities geared towards companies interested in recruiting foreign workers. Thanks to her in-depth knowledge of regional organizations and government agencies dedicated to welcoming and integrating new arrivals, she is able to refer businesses, prospective workers and their families to the proper authorities so that they receive adequate support.
Marie-Josée's achievements include creating the regional portal www.quebecfirst.com, which provides a storehouse of information where prospective immigrant workers and companies seeking international talent can find answers to their questions and make direct contact with experts on certain occasions. In addition to coordinating numerous international recruitment missions, she has implemented partnership agreements involving public employment organizations and international private recruiters.
Marie-Josée holds a bachelor's degree in business administration (international profile) from Laval University, specializing in entrepreneurship and small business management. She also took part in a one-year university exchange during which she studied marketing at the École Supérieure de Commerce, a business school in Montpellier, France. She also won the "Relève en développement économique 2010" prize given by l'Association des professionnels en développement économique du Québec.
