Centre en imagerie numérique et médias interactifs (CIMMI)

The CIMMI’s expertise is developing digital image processing and web and mobile applications technologies. CIMMI's mission is to contribute to technological progress and to help companies grow through their innovation process. Its focus is:

Centre de recherche en données massives de l’Université Laval (CRDM)

This research centre, based at the Université Laval's Faculty of Science and Engineering, specializes in learning, understanding and valuing big data in Québec.

CEFRIO

CEFRIO is a partner organization of Québec’s Ministry of Economy and Innovation (MEI), and it helps to accelerate digital culture in private companies and public bodies. This means that it works to support and generate digital innovation and ownership within these organizations. It does so through pilot initiatives and structuring projects carried out in cooperation with university researchers and stakeholders.

Institut national d’optique (INO)

In addition to research, INO designs and develops optical and photonic technologies and solutions to help SMEs and large companies in all fields to become more competitive regionally, nationally or internationally.

It has a strong intellectual property portfolio, a large pool of expertise and a variety of technologies and processes, and provides a full range of integrated services. From consulting to production, INO enables its customers to reduce their time to market and to share the risks associated with technological development.

Research Centre for Geospatial Data and Intelligence (CRG)

The CRG’s scientific work involves developing innovative methods and technologies. The centre uses these to facilitate spatial information acquisition, management and dissemination for safe and responsible use and decision-making purposes.

Defense Research and Development Canada, Valcartier (DRDC Valcartier)

DRDCs are Canadian government department research centres spread across the country. They study science and technology to develop technical solutions and advise:

  • The Department of National Defense

  • The Canadian Armed Forces

  • Other federal departments

  • Security and safety bodies
