Puissance Onze is a group of insurance companies and another name for the Centre de développement en assurances et services financiers (CDASF). A not-for-profit organization, it was created in the fall of 2007 by 11 property and casualty insurance and life and health insurance companies headquartered in the region of Québec City—Chaudière-Appalaches. Hence the name “Puissance Onze”. 

It is the largest group of insurance company head offices in Canada. Its goal? Puissance Onze aims to bring together the industry’s players from the Québec City region and to:

• Promote their growth

• Showcase the various facets of insurance and financial services and their possibilities 

• Promote the industry’s multiple career prospects to youth

Chaire d’assurance et de services financiers L’Industrielle-Alliance

Université Laval established its Chair in Insurance in 1975. It later became the Chaire d’assurance et de services financiers L’Industrielle-Alliance and it promotes and supports emerging areas in the insurance industry, such as:

Chaire Groupe Investors en planification financière

The Chaire Groupe Investors en planification financière was created in 1988 by the Faculté des sciences de l’administration at Université Laval. Its mission? This Chair works with a multi-disciplinary group of professors, researchers and practitioners in the field of financial planning to promote:

• Knowledge-sharing
