You entrust us with your privacy every day when you choose us or use our Services, and we want to maintain that trust above all else. That is why we have developed a comprehensive privacy program and appointed a Privacy Manager who will respond to your questions, comments, and complaints regarding your privacy.
For clarity, please read this Policy before submitting your personal information to us.
The Policy applies to and is intended for visitors to its websites (“Sites,” “Site”) and users of its Services. Services refer to all events, training, support, and any other type of product or service offered by Québec International and its subsidiaries (hereinafter: “QI”) are:

The Policy applies to personal information collected, used, disclosed, and retained by Québec International.
For the purposes of the Policy, “Personal Information” means any information about an identifiable individual, including any information that directly or indirectly identifies that individual.
We do not generally include business contact information as personal information when contacting you in connection with your job or enterprise.
The Personal Information we collect and process
In order to provide you with our Services and ensure the correct functioning of our Sites, we need to collect Personal Information about you, depending on whether you are:
Visitor to our Sites
You are a visitor to our Sites when you visit or interact with our websites, web pages, interactive features, newsletters, blogs, and their respective content on quebecinternational.ca, quebecentete.com, and lecampquebec.com (“Sites”).

Incubatee (Camper)
You are considered an incubatee (or Camper) when you benefit from the incubation services offered by Le Camp.

Corporate client, supplier, partner
You are a corporate client when you act as a representative of a company that benefits from support offered by the various sectors of Québec International or any type of service specific to businesses. You are a supplier or partner when you enter into a partnership agreement or service agreement with QI.

As mentioned above, QI does not consider the business contact information of a customer, supplier, or partner to be personal information, as this information is used to communicate with these individuals in the course of their duties or for the operation of their business.
In some cases, we may collect other personal Information about our business customers, suppliers, and partners that will be used for purposes other than contacting you in a business context. In these rare cases, we will ask for your consent to do so.

Personal information of minors
Given the importance of protecting children's privacy, our Sites and Services are not intended for minors under the age of 14.
In cases where QI may collect personal information from minors, we will require the explicit consent of the minor aged 14 or older, the holder of parental authority, or the guardian, as applicable.
If a parent or guardian discovers that their minor child under the age of 14 has provided us with personal information without our obtaining the appropriate consent, that parent or guardian has the right, upon request, to view the personal information provided by the child and/or to require that it be deleted from our records. In this case, we ask the child's parent or guardian to contact us using the contact information provided in the “Privacy Manager” section.
Basis for processing Personal Information
When we collect your Personal Information, we ensure that we only collect information that is necessary to achieve one of our purposes, which will have been disclosed to you in advance, for example in this Policy. We use personal information in accordance with the privacy laws that apply to our activities.
Here is a description of the basis for QI's collection and processing of your personal information:
Your consent
As required by applicable privacy laws, QI collects your Personal Information based on your voluntary consent, preferring to collect it directly from you.
QI is committed to having your explicit consent for the collection of any sensitive personal information.

As permitted by applicable privacy laws, QI may collect personal Information without your explicit consent, for example, to comply with applicable legal obligations or to perform our contracts.

Your personal Information will not be sold to third parties.
We share your personal information with third parties to (i) fulfill our mandate and objectives, (ii) respond to requirements or requests made under applicable laws, and (iii) for any purpose required or authorized by law.
In many cases, you have already consented to such sharing, for example by accepting the consent presented to you when you created your Québec en tête account. Sometimes applicable laws also allow us to share your personal information with third parties without your consent, in specific cases.

Our employees may have access to your personal information in the course of their work. Their access is limited to what is necessary for the performance of their duties.
With our service suppliers
Our business partners may sometimes need to access or receive certain personal information in order to perform their services (payment providers, cloud data hosting, maintenance, analysis, fraud detection, and development). In such cases, we implement reasonable contractual and technical safeguards to ensure that these third parties keep all personal information they process strictly confidential.

Your Personal Information may be disclosed and stored outside your province, state, territory, or country of residence.
Our business partners and service providers are sometimes located in Canada or other countries. Please be aware that we have contractual agreements with these third parties and suppliers to ensure that your personal information is processed in accordance with the laws applicable to us. Where applicable, we conduct privacy impact assessments prior to transferring personal information to another jurisdiction, such as outside Québec.
Specific features of Québec en tête
The personal information about you that is stored when you create your profile will not be shared under any circumstances until you apply for a job posted by an employer, recruiter, or educational institution on “Mon compte Québec en tête.” At that point, you authorize Québec International to share the personal information in your profile in accordance with Québec en tête's current Privacy Policy.
Conservation and destruction of personal information
QI will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with our internal document retention policies, to comply with applicable legal, tax, or regulatory requirements, or until you request that we destroy it. After such period, any relevant Personal Information held by QI will be destroyed, deleted, or anonymized.
Concerning Québec en tête news subscriptions: We will keep your account active as long as you log in. If you do not log in, we will ensure that your data is deleted after two (2) years of inactivity.
For the application management tool, Mon Compte Québec en tête, we will keep your account active as long as you log in. If you do not log in, we will delete your profile on Mon Compte Québec en tête after one (1) year of inactivity.
The security of your personal information is a priority for us.
Our employees and suppliers are informed of the confidential nature of the personal information collected and are made aware of the appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access to your personal information.
Also, our service providers are committed to using reasonable security measures to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of your personal information.
We maintain our services and all associated data with technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect you against loss, unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, alteration, and inappropriate disclosure of your personal information. These safeguards vary depending on the sensitivity of the data in our possession and are based on industry best practices.
Despite the measures described above, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure or error-free. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you have any questions about the security of your interaction with us (for example, if you believe that the security of any account you may have with us has been compromised), you can contact our privacy manager.
Depending on applicable laws, where you live, and how you interact with us, you may have certain rights concerning the Personal Information we hold about you.

Filing a complaint
You may file a complaint with QI's Privacy Manager if you are dissatisfied with our handling of your Personal Information or our compliance with this Policy.
You are also permitted by law to file a complaint with a privacy commissioner or any other competent personal information protection supervisory authority.
Exercising your rights
You can review, correct, update, modify, or delete the personal information you have provided to us yourself using “Mon compte Québec en tête.” Simply log in to your account and make the changes.
You can also exercise your rights listed above by sending a written request to our Privacy Manager. They will be able to help you with the process if you need assistance.
For your protection, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. In accordance with applicable laws, we will inform you of the procedure to follow, the processing time, and the information required, if any. We strive to respond to requests quickly, usually within 30 days.
In the context of the processing activities covered by this Policy, QI does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects.
Your choices regarding our use and disclosure of personal information
The information you provide may be used by QI for marketing purposes, including, but not limited to, one-time promotional emails and business contacts. Personal information management program
In order to protect your personal information, we have implemented policies, practices, and procedures relating to the management of the personal information we hold.
These internal policies and procedures govern the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and destruction of personal information, as well as the handling of complaints and information security at QI. They also provide a framework for preventing and responding to potential privacy incidents. All of these policies and practices have been approved by our Chief Privacy Officer.
The collection of your personal information through our Sites and Services complies with the requirements of this program.
Our senior executives have delegated the management of the privacy program to the Privacy Manager. The Privacy Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring Québec International's and its subsidiaries' personal information management program internally.
The Privacy Manager approves and implements privacy policies and procedures, ensures their proper functioning, and reports to Québec International's senior management on the program's effectiveness.

Upon receipt of a complaint, the Privacy Officer will conduct an inquiry. If the complaint is justified, the situation will be corrected. Regardless of our conclusion, we will keep you informed.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
We review the Policy from time to time to comply with applicable laws or in the event of changes to our operations or practices.
In the event that we update the Policy in a significant manner, we will notify you by posting a notice on our Sites, by email, or by any other means we deem appropriate.
