French Entrepreneurs Discovering Québec City

On February 6 and 7, Québec International and its partners Business Class, BCF, the Quebec School of Entrepreneurship, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton and National Bank attended the Salon des entrepreneurs de Paris. During this two-day conference, Québec International presented entrepreneurial opportunities in the Québec City region. Other members of the Quebec delegation included the Bureau d’immigration du Québec à Paris, Montréal International, the Société de développement économique de Drummondville, and Sherbrooke Innopole.

The event was a huge success, attracting over 60,000 visitors—including 150 public figures—and showcasing almost 200 conferences and workshops focused on helping entrepreneurs carry out their projects. Linguistic and cultural proximity of Quebec and France made it even more relevant to attend the event.

On the first day, Québec International and its partners held a session on Québec City’s ideal business and living ecosystem titled “Québec, l’écosystème idéal pour entreprendre et s’installer.” They discussed not only the region's numerous economic assets, including strong industries, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and support in the acquisition and establishment process, but also the ideal living environment for those who chose to settle in the region. The presentation was given in front of a packed audience of 120 people, and many more were unable to attend due to space limitations.

Taking advantage of the presence of the various Quebec partners, hundreds of attendees asked about the opportunities and support available to carry out their projects on the other side of the Atlantic.

This trip was a great success and increased the visibility of our entrepreneurial ecosystem’s vitality among entrepreneurs and creators interested in realizing their business projects in the Québec City region.
