Following several successful trips in this region, the mission’s focus was to find candidates in the information technology (including video games and AI), health and agri-food sectors.
Leading up to the event, over 4,700 applications were submitted through QuébecFirst’s website in response to the job postings. Once in São Paulo, the companies met with nearly 450 applicants in more than 700 interviews.
Since the end of the mission, employers have already confirmed the hiring of 12 people, and more results are still to come. Furthermore, the companies participating have already expressed their satisfaction with this international mission.
International recruitment initiatives will continue at the end of the month with missions in Paris, Morocco and Tunisia. Preparations are also underway for a global online recruitment event in the fall.
