CENGN, Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks, operates a national testbed, specialized in advanced IoT, AI, and Cloud technology, to support the commercialization of tech products and solutions from start-ups and small business across Canada.
During this Lunch & Learn, the CENGN team will share its expertise and learnings in scale testing tech products for market growth, drawing from the organization’s experience helping over 150 companies on their path to commercialization. This activity will provide valuable insight for product developers as they architect, design, and take new products to market.

- Shawn brings 20 years of experience in the technology sector, more than half of which has been with Canadian startups. Shawn blends a technical background with hands-on business experience, and has applied this mix in a diverse range of roles including corporate development, IP licensing, strategic partnerships, sales engineering, and business development.
- Alex Edwards – Business Engineering Manager
- Alex has been in the tech industry for 30 years and today contributes to the CENGN mission as a Business Engineering Manager supporting tech industry growth and startup success across Canada. His passion for this role is aided by a background in mathematics and computer science, product development, manufacturing, corporate strategy, and business development.
Shawn and Alex have a combined 40 years of experience in high tech and come to work every day looking forward to helping grow tech innovation in Canada.
